Teaching is my passion. Any time the Lord shows me His way, I must tell someone, immediately. It’s as if I will burst if I don’t share his good news. In saying this, leading studies terrify me. When I step into His instruction and have opportunity to grow with others, the opposition rises.
Proverbs 22: 17-18 calms me and reminds me that the words of the Lord are the words of the wise. My teaching or facilitating a study are not the words of the wise, it is the true and living Word. I pray I keep His Word close to my heart and lead you and others back to His precious love and instruction.
My desire is that you will know His voice by spending time with Him. I crave to know that when you speak, it is from His Word that has been written on your heart. My appeal is that you can trust His Word because you have seen Him in action and that you are actively looking for His movement in your life. I ask the Lord right now, that you know in your bones that His Word was written specifically for you.
Incline your ear and hear the words of the wise,
And apply your mind to my knowledge;
For it will be pleasant if you keep them within you,
That they may be ready on your lips.
So that your trust may be in the Lord,
I have taught you today, even you.
Proverbs 22:17-18
