Happy September! Can you believe we are already here?! For me, it has become the NEW YEAR. Last year this time, I decided to make small changes that made huge  impact. I wanted to quit cycling in certain areas and implementing these 5 things did the trick.  This Week’s episode on The Wholistic Greatness Podcast covers the 5 things I implemented that made me go from mediocre to productive. No more reacting my way though life and disappointed I wasn’t getting anywhere. I achieved not only some great things, but found rest and peace through all of it! What a year and I want to share my secrets with you!

Habit One: Move Your Body Daily

Do I mean I have to work out daily? NO. I mean move that body daily for 30 minutes. So if that means get up from your desk and walk around the work place, then do it. It could mean schedule that class the night before, or walk around the track at school before pick up versus wait in the carpool line. It simply means move.Clean the house, park far away, or do the thing and run, yoga, or pilates. Whatever it is, get your heart rate up for 30 and, boom, you are done!

Habit Two: QT + Coffee + Journaling

OK, besides bible studies that I do, I have shared my favorite journal with you to get my daily quiet time in, Write the Word Journals. What I haven’t shared with you is my process. I started getting up 30 minutes earlier than normal and implementing this time, of course with my favorite coffee right next to me.

Habit Three: Gratitude

Every day, and I mean every day, I find a way to be thankful for something. Not the big stuff, but the little stuff. I write it at the top of my journal time. It was the small things that added up that made a huge difference. The podcast shares more on this topic!

Habit 4: Intentions

Again, every day I write what is important to me. I write who I want to be, but in present tense. It is a cool mind trick. If you write who you want to be or do, you begin to act in that very dream. Rachel Hollis is a big fan of this concept and even created a journal that helps you do this on the daily. I use a simple college ruled notebook. This is hands down my favorite habit I started this year. The birth of this podcast is a result to such a practice.

Habit Five: Always Be Learning

I have always had a growth mindset. I have always been open to learning new concepts, growing, and becoming overall better. This year, however, I took it to a new level and implemented an “always learning” attitude.  I either have a podcast going, an audiobook cued up, or I am nose deep in articles or real life books. Seriously, I am college student level in learning this year. And there is still so much more to learn!

Well, friends, that’s it for this fine Friday!! THANK YOU for being a part of this community and thank you for allowing me to serve you in a way that I love!
