When I became a believer at 26, I was SO uncomfortable when it came time to “pray together.” I grew up in a faith where we prayed silently and confessed in a small dark room. All this talking to God was supposed to be kept in secret. When it came to my turn to pray, my back would sweat and my knees would clammer together like to symbols.
What do I say? I may defend someone. What is I pray wrong?
As time as passed, my relationship with the Lord has gotten closer and I have more confidence and get through prayer together without trembling to pieces. The more I seek him, the less important how I am viewed matters. Two are better than one…a cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
