write a message in the mirror

We are sharing a tiny bathroom in our tiny cabin in our tiny lives. It is so small that when inside, you have to almost get in the tub to close the door. It’s tiny.

So what do you do when you have lemons? You make lemonade, right? My kids love words as much as their mama does. When I leave town, when I make lunches, or when I just want to surprise them, I leave them a note. It has become a game in the bathroom. Extra-long extra-hot showers means extra long notes in the mirror for the next person. I love it when I hear a giggle on the other side of the door as the steam fills the room. I hear a plan formulating and I can’t wait to see it.

The kids have never been more excited to take showers in their lives.
